Optometrists,
orthoptists and dispensing opticians who prescribe
coloured lenses are invited to join the Society
for Coloured Lens Prescribers, a society to promote public awareness of
evidence-based practice. The society has a code of conduct to which
prescribers are invited to subscribe. The Society has identified certain
investigations that are necessary before prescription of coloured lenses.
Individual membership is available to those professionals who are able to
conduct these prerequisite investigations. Team membership is available for
prescribers who practice within a team in which the prerequisite
investigations are conducted by members of their team.
